Coláiste Eoin is delighted to announce that our T/Y "Dancing Through the Ages" initiative has won the Gold Award at the prestigious DCU National Intergenerational Competition. This fantastic achievement saw our school take first place among 54 schools from across the country – a testament to the power of connection through music and movement.
The project, led by T/Y Co-ordinator Ms Mary Cummins and Music Teacher Leeann Cummins, brought together Transition Year students Emma Langrell, Chloe Southern, Lilly Murphy, Josh Kelly, Cathal Cullen, Jessica Doyle, Saoirse Tyrrell, Kendall Walsh, Charlie Wynne, Charlie Hennessy, and Brian Whelan, alongside local community members Anne Byrne, Sheila Kelly, Nellie Blake, Nellie Doyle, Betty O’Toole, Patricia Boland, Mary Doyle, Mylo Gahan, and Anne Humphries, for eight weeks of lively jiving and line dancing.
It was a very proud moment for our school, marked by a touching guard of honour formed by students and staff as all participants arrived back at the school, celebrating their remarkable achievement and the lasting connections they have created.
Congratulations to all the students, participants, and staff who contributed to this incredible success.
Keep dancing, everyone.
