Coláiste Eoin Students Lead the Way in Student Voice and Representation
Student Council Training – KCETB
Ten members of our Coláiste Eoin Student Council recently attended Student Council Training organised by KCETB in the Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Carlow.
Students took part in a series of workshops and networking sessions with other schools across the region, gaining valuable insights and ideas to strengthen student voice and leadership within our school.
This was an exciting and empowering experience for all involved.

ISSU Regional Council – Carlow College
Three of our senior students — Cathal Cullen, Saoirse Tyrrell, and Lilly Murphy — represented Coláiste Eoin at the Regional Council of the Irish Second-Level Students’ Union (ISSU), held in St. Patrick’s College, Carlow on October 14th.
The event featured discussions, debates, and student-led campaigns, including the national ‘Vote @ 16’ initiative. During the session, attendees elected a new Regional Officer for the Carlow–Kilkenny area, and we are delighted to share that Coláiste Eoin’s own Cathal Cullen was successfully elected to this leadership role.
This is a fantastic achievement and a reflection of Cathal’s dedication to student representation and positive change.
Congratulations also to:
- Cathal Cullen – ISSU Regional Officer (Carlow–Kilkenny)
- Saoirse Tyrrell – Coláiste Eoin ISSU School Representative
We are very proud of all our students for their leadership, enthusiasm, and commitment to representing their peers with integrity and pride.
