Coláiste Eoin's Grúpa Ceoil participated in the Gael Linn Siansa competition on Saturday, February 24th, at the Osprey Hotel in Naas.
Siansa is one of the most prestigious competitions in the country for young groups of traditional Irish music and singing. It is organised by Gael Linn, with support from RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta and Irish Music Magazine, and it showcases the talent of teenage musicians who aspire to follow in the footsteps of groups such as Téada, Altan, Danú, etc.
Congratulations to the students involved: Zara Garland, Jessica Doyle, Kate Murphy, Maria Byrne, Ryan O'Neill, Casey Cullen, Lillian Swift and Anna Zhulyn. They worked very hard and earned a well-deserved semi-final spot and recognition for their dedication.
Ms Leeann Cummins, their music teacher, and the school are very proud of their wonderful achievement.
