BEST WISHES TO FR MCCORMACK ON HIS RETIREMENT
It was a poignant farewell to Fr Mccormack as staff from Colaiste Eoin bid him a happy and healthy farewell. Fr Mccormack has taken the difficult decision to retire from his duties both to the parish and the school. Staff from Colaiste Eoin wanted to mark his tenure with us as he has been an integral part of our school community for the last 22 years. Stories of old were shared as bonds developed over many years came to the fore. It is difficult to put in words the contribution Fr Mccormack or Jim as he is affectionately known has made to our school life. He has shared our journey both within the school and personally, he has also been a spiritual guide but also a friend to us all during the trials and tribulations of life. Speakers on the day included Ms Egan, Ms King and Mr Kelly. We know this not goodbye as Jim will continue to reside in Hacketstown and will, as always be on hand to guide and assist us.
Thank you Fr Mccormack and best wishes for a healthy and peaceful retirement.
