Dolores Byrne Retirement
KCETB congratulated past members of its staff on their recent retirements at an annual event which brings past and current members together to celebrate their collective work on behalf of the ETB. This year we were sad to say farewell to Dolores Byrne. Dolores will be sorely missed from Colaiste Eoin Hacketstown where she was the lynch pin of the staffroom, offering advice, support and help to all who encountered her in her daily duties. Dolores was employed as a cleaner but her role encompassed so much more to the entire school community. She was a diligent, hard-working, conscientious lady who devoted her time to the school and community. Having attended the school herself she remained a constant in the lives of all involved with Colaiste Eoin, be it students, parents, guests, board members, all were welcomed by Dolores who made sure their every needs were met.
We shared major milestones with Dolores while she shared hers with us, always obliging, always smiling she was a pleasure to work with.
All of us in Colaiste Eoin would like to congratulate Dolores on her retirement and wish her the very best for the future. Dolores wasn’t just a member of our school community, she was in fact for the last thirty five years the personification of the word community in Colaiste Eoin.
We wish her well
