Well done to the third year group who managed to raise almost 6000 euro for the Carlow Home Care Team by simply deciding to take the initiative and organising a sleep over in the sport’s hall. The students had a great night and showed true maturity and camaraderie as they amused each other through the long evening, playing games, practising for the Lip Sync, watching movies and telling stories. They were of course supported by staff, Miss Hand, Miss O Meara, Miss Mullens, Mr Dunphy and Ms Dalton who managed to keep everyone in high spirits and well looked after. As always anything that happens in our school is supported by the community who visited throughout the evening and provided food parcels and words of encouragement. The event showed that students in our school are keenly aware of the hard work that others contribute to society, they worked tirelessly to raise funds and were delighted to present the cheque to the Carlow Home Care Team. The Home Care Team provides care, support and counselling to cancer patients at all stages of their illness. The evening was remarkable, it exemplified the spirit of our school, working with each other to help each other.
